Remus II introduces Blazar's Oval Iris — the same design language behind Mantis, now built into the Remus line. The result is rounder, richer oval bokeh and a more refined flare signature, without losing the retro soul that defined the original Remus.

What's different between Remus II and the original Remus 50?
Remus II introduces Blazar's all-new Oval Iris (borrowed from our Mantis series), a full optical resolution upgrade, and a new gold metal finish. Aperture moves from T2.0 to T2.4. All other core specs remain the same as Remus 50.
What is the "Oval Iris"?
It's a redesigned iris shape — the same optical design language used in our Mantis lenses — that shapes the bokeh into a rounder, richer oval and refines the flare signature, while keeping Remus's signature retro character.
What focal length does Remus II come in?
Remus II currently launches in 50mm only. We may expand the focal range in future releases.
Does Remus II support both PL and EF mounts?
Yes. Remus II ships with fully interchangeable PL and EF mounts, so you can switch between cinema and DSLR/mirrorless camera bodies without changing lenses.
